Cruise ships and cruising the world has certainly not “phased out” since the advent of affordable and accessible air travel. It is in fact, quite the opposite. Cruising the seven seas is picking up speed (despite the struggling economy) and shipyards around the world are competing heavily for the title of the “biggest and the best cruise ship on the planet”.
When you look at the cost of “all-inclusive travel” such as cruising, versus the the totaled costs of multi-destinational traveling you can clearly see the benefits cruising has to offer. Traveling in the lap of luxury with excellent meals, entertainment and access to shore leave at great cities around the World? Sounds good to us!
Cruising though, is more for people that don’t feel the need to do much on the ground exploring, networking, and foundation laying in the cities (Countries) they’re traveling to. This is simply a way (and can be an affordable way if you play your cards right) to see many cities around the globe.

I was actually friends with a guy a while back, who, being an investor that was able to work when he wanted from where he wanted through a unique travel writing system and as such, could make his dream of traveling the World a reality.
